Under technical direction performs actuarial studies of a moderately complex nature to be used in determining pricing and rating plans or reserving strategies for a product line or segment.

The Technical Program Manager will provide program and project management and drive the execution of multiple workstreams associated with the implementation of an AWS solution for data warehousing, reporting, data analysis, and new technology products, in alignment with a technology modernization program for the company’s transactional database.

Business-oriented vs technical role. First, you will gain a deep understanding of the business and how we achieve profitability. With this knowledge, you will begin to ask questions, use critical thought, and theorize the potential in which the company can increase profitability. Then prove those theories using empirical data to deliver a story for the business to act. Big parts of this role include mentoring and shaping the analytics department to deliver next-level analytics to the organization Comfortable with whiteboarding ideas that are data-driven in business terms

Utilize your automotive technical knowledge and expertise, along with information in the
public domain, subscription services, trade shows, and proprietary datasets, to develop
a risk profile for varied classes of makes, models, and trims to help support a rating
engine to drive accuracy. You will be challenged to use your experience and deep
technical understanding of vehicles characteristics such as platform sharing,
powertrain, chassis, OEM architecture, engine manufacturing standards, electrical, and
mechanical components. And yes, you will also get deep into the motors, stators,
inverters, and other components within the new breed of electric vehicles..

Under broad supervision, the actuarial analyst assists in the development of actuarial studies and recommendations for a product line or segment. Work is well-defined with review in progress as well as upon completion.

Leads team that reviews, analyzes, and monitors agent and dealer portfolios (losses and profitability). The team creates and executes business solutions to address underperformance
